Sidewalk chalk festival looking for participants | Arts & Culture

A local university is sending a call to all artists who want to take their artwork to the streets.

The University of Science and Arts in Chickasha will be hosting its annual "Montmartre" sidewalk chalk art festival this spring.

The festival consists of four categories including 6th grade and younger, junior high, high school and college/adult.

Officials say the artwork must be completed using water-based, temporary chalk.

The cost to register is $10 per 6' by 6' square on the day of the event.

"Montmartre" will be held April 5, 2012.
